From the publisher:
As beautiful as the film that inspired it, Anastasia: The Art, the Animation, the Movie is a must-have for fans of the film, as well as aficionados of the recently revived tradition of cinema animation. With a slipcase, vellum overlays, a die-cut window, and a gatefold, this stunning book brings the exotic locales, fairy tale romance, adventure, and excitement of the film home.
For 80 years, the mystery of Anastasia has bewitched people the world over. Now, Twentieth Century Fox, with producers/directors Don Bluth and Gary Goldman, brings the story to life in a astounding new way. Animators for Disney for years before opening up their own company, Bluth and Goldman created the popular films The Secret of NIMH, The Pebble and the Penguin, Thumbelina, A Troll in Central Park, All Dogs Go to Heaven, and with, Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, The Land Before Time and An American Tail.
This came from the library of Burny Mattinson (1935-2023), an animator, director, producer, and story artist for Walt Disney Animation Studios, from 1953 until his death in 2023. Mattinson directed Mickey's Christmas Carol and The Great Mouse Detective. He was named a Disney Legend in 2008 and was the longest serving employee of The Walt Disney Company, with a career that spanned almost 70 years. His extensive library included numerous subjects and especially large collections of books on Disney, animation, and classic comic strips.
